# DTF vs Sublimation — Which Is Better?

Textile DTF and sublimation use different transfer systems. Begin with the exact fabric or coated item, its base colour and the desired appearance.

## When to consider DTF

- Cotton, polyester or a blend compatible with the transfer system.
- A light or dark garment where a printed backing layer is needed.
- Multicolour artwork or personalisation, with detail reviewed at print size.
- A quotation and sample that suit the intended quantity and care.

## When to consider sublimation

- A suitable light polyester garment.
- A mug, plate or mousepad with the required receptive coating or material.
- A dye-based result whose colour is reviewed on the actual item.
