# Die-cut

Die-cutting makes a defined shape in a material using a cutting tool or die. For individually supplied stickers, the term often describes cutting through the printed face and liner to the same outline.

## Detail

An individually cut sticker includes its own backing. A kiss-cut sticker has the face layer cut while the liner remains intact, so several designs can share a sheet. Specify both the sticker outline and the backing-sheet shape when ordering. The production drawing and delivery format make the intended result clearer than the cutting term alone.
