# UV Printing

UV printing cures compatible inks with ultraviolet light during printing. Depending on the equipment and ink, it can decorate suitable rigid or flexible materials.

## Detail

Possible applications include gifts, glass or acrylic panels, wood items, metal products and rigid photo boards. Surface coatings, shape and ink adhesion need assessment; some materials require a primer or other preparation. White ink, varnish and texture effects depend on the available system. Ask Craftarea to confirm the proposed process and sample. Water, scratch and outdoor performance belong to the actual ink-and-material combination, not to a universal superiority claim over solvent printing. For artwork preparation, separate the colour image from any proposed white or varnish layer. On a transparent or coloured object, ask which areas should remain transparent and which need an opaque base. These choices should be visible on the approved layout. A sample should answer a named question: does the ink adhere to this coating, is the smallest text readable, or does the chosen texture suit the object? Supplying a sample item is useful only when its material and coating represent the actual production batch. Confirm the test and acceptance criteria with the producer.
