# Sublimation for Polyester Textiles

Choose the fabric, base colour and print area before preparing sportswear artwork

## About This Service

Textile sublimation transfers dye into suitable polyester fibres using heat. The fabric composition and its base colour affect the result: a design prepared for a white shirt can look different on a coloured or blended fabric. Send the garment label, a photograph and the intended print area. For a cotton or dark garment, compare other textile printing methods instead of assuming that the same sublimation artwork will work. Mugs and metal items are a separate application and require a suitable coating.

## Why Choose Us

### Base colour matters

White areas in ordinary sublimation artwork use the substrate colour. Check the design against the actual garment rather than a white-screen preview.

### Fabric-specific result

Polyester content and fabric construction affect colour appearance. Review the particular blend; a percentage alone does not guarantee the result.

### Artwork coverage

A print on a finished shirt and an all-over panel printed before sewing require different layouts. Confirm which item and area the order covers.

### Team-order check

Keep one approved list of names, numbers, sizes and quantities. Check spelling and front/back placement before approving each version.

## Frequently Asked Questions

Which fabrics suit sublimation?+

Start with the actual fabric composition and colour. Suitable light polyester is a common application; blended fabrics need assessment for the intended appearance. Ordinary sublimation is not the same process as decorating cotton with a transfer or special coating.

How should the garment be washed?+

Use the garment and print supplier’s care guidance for the selected item. Confirm washing, drying and ironing conditions; a universal wash count cannot describe every fabric and use.

How do sublimation and DTF differ on clothing?+

First identify the fabric, its colour and the desired print feel. Sublimation dyes suitable polyester; DTF applies a transfer and needs its own fabric and heat-compatibility check. Compare an actual design at the intended size.

What should I send for sportswear?+

Send garment composition, colour, sizes, quantities, logo files and the name/number list. Specify a finished garment or an unsewn panel, front/back placement and whether the artwork crosses seams.

What is the minimum order?+

State the total quantity and how many artwork or name variants it contains. Availability, preparation work and the minimum run are confirmed for that garment and design.
