# UV printing on acrylic

## Overview

Acrylic printing needs a decision about the viewing side and how the clear or coloured sheet contributes to the design. A print behind a clear panel may need different orientation and layer planning from a print on the front. The actual acrylic grade, protective masking and surface preparation should be confirmed with the provider.

## What to check before approval

- Specify clear, coloured or translucent acrylic and its dimensions.
- Identify the front or reverse print position and intended mounting.
- Mark areas needing opacity, transparency or an unprinted surface.

## Prepare the production enquiry

Send Craftarea the panel drawing and artwork with the viewed side clearly labelled. Discuss adhesion, white-layer requirements and any cutting or fixing work so the quote covers the finished acrylic item.
