## About This Service

Backlit film is a printed face for a compatible illuminated display, not a light source. Provide the lightbox’s visible opening, fixing method and lighting arrangement, and indicate whether the graphic must also look balanced with the light off. The film, colour density and viewing result should be assessed for that specific display.

Translucent and semi-transparent filmThe production specification is agreed after reviewing the actual material, artwork and final dimensions. Ask for the relevant output limits or component data; a single machine or performance figure does not establish the finished result.Colors optimized for LED backlightingIndoor and outdoor use (UV-resistant)Standard and custom-sized lightboxesLightbox installation service

## Frequently Asked Questions

What is backlit film?+

A translucent or semi-transparent film that achieves vivid colors when illuminated from behind with LED or fluorescent light.

Is it compatible with lightboxes?+

Compatibility depends on the lightbox face dimensions, fixing system and light source. Measure the visible and fitted areas separately and review the graphic both lit and unlit before approving replacement film.

Is it for indoor or outdoor use?+

Both — for indoor lightboxes and outdoor illuminated signage with UV-resistant options.

Is LED or fluorescent lighting better?+

LED — energy-efficient, even illumination, longer lifespan, and produces less heat.

What printing resolution do you use?+

The production specification is agreed after reviewing the actual material, artwork and final dimensions. Ask for the relevant output limits or component data; a single machine or performance figure does not establish the finished result.
