A5 is 148×210 mm at finished size. Use the additional space to separate a headline, supporting information and the next action instead of filling every area with small text. Review both sides at actual size and identify which one the reader should encounter first; bleed belongs outside the final trimmed dimensions. A5, A6 and DL have different proportions. A5 is wider than the 99×210 mm DL variant used here; A6 is 105×148 mm. Choose using the content and setting, not just the format name. Heavier paper is not automatically better: handwriting and surface requirements also matter.

Does A5 include bleed?
No. 148×210 mm is the size after trimming. Bleed is added outside it to the agreed specification.
What if the copy does not fit one side?
Shorten lower-priority copy, consider the reverse or choose another format. Simply shrinking the type can make it harder to read.
Which stock can be written on?
State the handwriting requirement. Test the proposed surface with the intended pen; lamination does not automatically provide a writable surface.
