Review the hoodie before bringing it in
Photograph the whole garment, the proposed print area and its fabric and care labels. Identify earlier printing, coatings, repairs or worn areas. A suitable method for a new blank hoodie may not suit an already decorated garment, so describe the actual item rather than sending only a similar product photo.
Mark the usable print area
Give the artwork width and height and show the intended placement relative to the pocket, zip, seams and drawstrings. Check the position with the hood down as well as up. A layout that crosses different fabric layers needs separate review; the visible front panel is not automatically one continuous printable surface.
Agree the treatment of a supplied garment
Confirm whether the studio can accept this item, which method and position are feasible, and whether an assessment or sample is needed before production. Approve the final artwork and care instructions for the agreed process. An old print should not be assumed removable or suitable for printing over.
