Which material is better — stainless steel, aluminium or brass?
For an exterior plate assess corrosion resistance; for a badge consider weight and a safe edge. Stainless performance depends on grade and exposure; aluminium is light; brass and copper provide a decorative tone but their surfaces change over time. Mild steel needs suitable protection. Confirm sheet thickness, finish and availability for the drawing and installation site.

What size is a door nameplate or number plate made in?
Starting examples include a 200×80 mm door plate, a 100×100 mm number plate or a 70×25 mm badge. These are not mandatory or stocked sizes. Choose final dimensions for the text length, viewing distance and site. Feasibility of a round or logo-shaped outline, small inner details and fixing holes is confirmed from the drawing.
How is the plate mounted on a door or wall?
Fixing options include suitable double-sided tape, screws or standoffs. Select the method for plate weight, surface, moisture and use; tape is not sufficient for every door or outdoor setting. Agree hole positions and included hardware before approving the drawing.
