Transparent stock allows the underlying surface to influence the appearance of a printed sticker. Coloured artwork on a dark bottle or window can need a different backing treatment from the same design on a white package. Specify the intended transparent areas and how the label will be viewed after application.

What to check before approval

• Provide the colour and material of the application surface.
• Identify where artwork should remain translucent or become opaque.
• Confirm print orientation if the label will be viewed through glass.
