PVC frontlit banner material has a solid printed face. Mesh has openings that allow some air through, while a suitable backlit material is designed to transmit illumination. Choose the substrate, ink, finishing and fixing as one specification for the location. Material choice alone does not establish weather resistance or the safety of a facade or fence installation. The word banner can describe the printed graphic, the flexible material or the complete display. A quotation should make clear whether it includes only the print or also hems, eyelets, pockets, hardware and installation. For example, a graphic inserted into a roll-up mechanism needs that mechanism's template and a reserved area inside the base. A graphic attached to a fence needs a site-specific fixing plan instead. Keep the visible message, finished dimensions and mounting allowances separate; a familiar format name is not a complete production specification.
