Sublimation
Sublimation printing uses heat to transfer suitable dyes into compatible polyester fibres or a receptive coating on an item.
Detail
Standard textile sublimation is generally used on a light polyester base because it does not add an opaque white layer. Mugs, plates and other rigid products need an appropriate sublimation coating.
The result differs from a surface transfer, but colour and service life still depend on the substrate, coating, process and care. Confirm the selected item and review a sample; sublimation does not make every printed product permanent.
