Quick answer
Choose the banner dimensions from the mounting area, viewing distance, message and support system. For a roll-up, use the exact hardware template; 0.85 × 2 m and 1 × 2 m are examples of formats, not interchangeable specifications. Facade, fence and event banners need their own measured area, fixing allowances and installation assessment.
