Measure the visible area and the support separately
A banner's finished dimensions are not always the dimensions of the visible message. Mark frame overlaps, hems, pole pockets or other fixing areas on a measured photograph. Keep the logo, dates and contact information inside the area that remains readable after installation.
Compare two placements before enlarging the file
For a backdrop, review the camera view and the position of people, furniture or equipment. For a fence or facade, review the approach and viewing distance. A larger file does not solve a blocked message or an unsuitable support.

- A photograph of the location with a known measurement.
- The available width and height, plus any existing hardware model.
- The intended viewing position and the main text that must be read.
