A digitally printed card order needs more detail than a total quantity. Five hundred copies of one approved design and five hundred cards split between ten people involve different file checks, version handling and packing. Choose paper for the actual use

Smooth stock and textured stock give different results with fine text and photographs. If a recipient must write an appointment date on the card, test the intended pen on the selected surface. Paper weight is not a direct measurement of thickness or stiffness: two stocks with the same gsm can feel different.

One side or two

Use one side when a name and a primary contact route are enough. A reverse can hold another language, a short service list or a QR destination. Approve the reading direction of both faces; two correctly displayed PDF pages do not by themselves establish the intended flip direction of the physical card.

Compare quantities without changing the product

Ask for three quantities with the same specification and separate artwork preparation, printing, finishing and handover. A lower unit price does not mean a lower total spend. As an illustrative planning case, a smaller batch may avoid obsolete cards when an employee’s phone number will soon change; it is not a claim about a completed project.

What is the minimum quantity?

It depends on the selected stock, format and finishing setup. State the quantity you need; the 100-card comparison example is not a confirmed minimum.

Can the card include a photograph?

Review the image at its final printed size and on the chosen stock. An attractive screen preview cannot compensate for insufficient image detail or a surface that changes the result.

How large should the QR code be?

Size depends on the encoded data, contrast and printed result. Preserve the clear margin and test a final-size sample with several phones; one universal millimetre minimum is not sufficient.

Does an approved file confirm the deadline?

No. Stock, production capacity and handover must also be agreed. Additional finishing remains a separate production stage.
