Fast Business Cards
Short answer
With print-ready, technically correct artwork, business cards print in one working day. The deadline is shortest with standard stock and either no lamination or simple lamination. Foiling and spot UV do not fit a one-day turnaround — they require a separate technological pass.
'Fast' means two different things in printing: fast to print and fast to prepare. The first is on us, the second is on the artwork. In practice most orders are delayed not by the press but by technical problems in the file. This page sets out exactly what is possible in one working day, under what conditions, and what you can do on your side to genuinely shorten the timeline. If you have a conference tomorrow and need cards today, here is what is realistic.

What fits in one working day
One day realistically covers: digital printing on standard 300-350 gsm stock, matte or gloss lamination, cutting and packing. That is a complete card — nothing is rushed at the expense of quality. What does not fit in one day: foiling (a die must be made), spot UV varnish (a separate technological pass), non-standard stock not held in inventory, and design from scratch. Timing is agreed after the project review. Send the card dimensions, stock, printed sides, finish and quantity, required date and collection or delivery location.
- Fits: printing + lamination + cutting
- Does not fit: foiling, spot UV
- Does not fit: design from scratch
- Does not fit: non-stocked specialty paper
How to prepare the file so no time is lost
On a one-day deadline the biggest risk is a technical problem in the artwork — if the file fails preflight, the day is lost to correspondence. To avoid that, check before sending: size 94x54 mm (with bleed), colour space CMYK, resolution 300 dpi, fonts outlined, text 3 mm in from the edge. If double-sided, two pages in one PDF. These five points take a minute and save a day.
- 94x54 mm with bleed
- CMYK, 300 dpi
- Fonts outlined
- Text 3 mm from the edge
- Double-sided — two pages in one PDF
Planning when an event is approaching
If a conference, exhibition or meeting is fixed to a date, leave one day of slack when planning. The reason is simple: even when everything runs smoothly, one extra approval cycle can appear before printing — a colour to confirm, a line of text to correct. In a genuine rush, call us — we will tell you the real timeline before you place the order. Timing is agreed after the project review. Send the card dimensions, stock, printed sides, finish and quantity, required date and collection or delivery location.
