DTF printing
DTF printing on dark fabric
Overview
Dark garments need the artwork and backing layer to be planned together so the design remains visible against the fabric. Small gaps and fine lettering can behave differently from a large graphic. The garment dye, coating and heat response should be checked alongside colour and opacity.
What to check before approval
- Send the actual dark garment colour and fabric composition.
- Identify transparent areas and the intended edges of the transfer.
- Review opacity and colour on the selected item rather than a light-fabric sample.
Prepare the production enquiry
Give Craftarea the artwork, print dimensions and garment details. Confirm how the backing layer and placement will be approved and request a sample where dye behaviour or fine detail is critical.
