Frequently Asked Questions
What photograph size do I need?
Dimensions and requirements depend on the exact document and receiving authority. Send the official instructions. A country name or the word passport is not sufficient; also check whether the photograph must be taken at the authority's premises.
Can an existing photograph be printed at 3×4 cm?
Specify the requested 3×4 cm dimensions and copy count, and send the original file. Cropping, image quality and required face placement need assessment first. This size should not be treated as a universal passport or visa standard.
Do a digital file and a paper photograph have the same requirements?
No. An online application may set separate pixel dimensions, file format or file-size requirements. Paper dimensions in centimetres are a different specification. Supply both sets of instructions if you need both outputs.
How should I arrange a child's photograph?
State the child's age and application requirements and confirm session availability in advance. Discuss parental assistance and timing before the session. Artificially changing the child's face is not a way to meet the requirements.
When will my photograph be ready?
Photography, file review and printing are separate stages. State the application deadline and agree a specific collection time before visiting.
Is acceptance by the authority guaranteed?
The receiving authority makes the final decision. If a photograph is rejected, keep the written reason and send it with the file. Any further session or correction and its terms are agreed after reviewing that reason.
