Lamination

Matte, gloss, anti-scratch and outdoor protective films have different appearances and specifications. Choose a laminate compatible with the printed stock and ink. Lamination can change apparent colour and feel. Review a finished sample where those properties matter, and confirm the protection claimed for the actual film rather than assuming every matte or outdoor laminate performs the same. A useful sample comparison keeps the paper, ink and artwork identical and changes only the laminate. Check glare under the intended lighting, the feel of the surface and the legibility of small text or a QR code. If the product must fold or bend, assess the finished fold as well as the flat sheet. Lamination is not the same operation as varnishing or encapsulating a document between sealed film edges. State which result you need and whether the edge of the printed sheet remains exposed. For adhesive graphics, assess the print, laminate and application surface together; adding a film does not establish a fixed service life.
