How do I order metal cutting if I don't live in Tbilisi?

A remote order takes three steps: send the file, confirm price and timeline, receive the part by courier. You do not need to travel to Tbilisi — a DXF, AI or PDF file is enough, or even a phone photo of a sketch, provided every dimension is written on it precisely. If a contour is open or a dimension looks wrong, we tell you before cutting and correct it together, which avoids paying to cut and ship the part twice. Timing is agreed after the project review. Metal cutting across Georgia — which cities do you deliver to?

We cut only in Tbilisi but deliver throughout Georgia, to any settlement a courier company serves, including smaller towns and municipalities. The most frequent destinations are Batumi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Zugdidi, Poti, Gori and Telavi. Delivery time is counted from the day production finishes, not the day the order is placed. The times below are indicative and depend on the courier company's own schedule. Timing is agreed after the project review. What metal thickness do you cut — and what don't you do?

The thickness ceiling is the same for a regional order as for a Tbilisi one, because the same machine does the work: mild steel (carbon steel, colloquially 'iron') up to 10mm, stainless — inox, nerzhaveika, stainless steel are all the same material — up to 6mm, aluminium up to 5mm. Copper and brass thickness is confirmed for the alloy and surface. We also state plainly what we do not own: plasma cutting, waterjet, press-brake bending, CNC milling and lathe work are not performed in our workshop. If a part exceeds these limits or needs bending, we advise on the correct process and route you to a vetted partner workshop. For a regional order this matters more than usual, because a mismatch discovered after shipping is expensive to fix. Specify the required tolerance in the drawing; achievable tolerance and edge finishing are confirmed for the material, thickness and geometry.

Who pays for the courier, and how much does delivery cost?

Courier cost is not part of the cutting price. It is calculated separately from parcel weight and size at the courier company's current tariff. Small items — nameplates, number plates, keychains — fit a standard parcel and ship cheaply, while a large or heavy order such as a decorative panel or a mangal needs its own shipping calculation. The parcel is handed to the courier once payment is confirmed, and we pass on a tracking number where the courier company issues one. Timing is agreed after the project review. How is a regional order different from a Tbilisi order?

There are two differences and both are logistical. First, Tbilisi customers often collect the part from the workshop themselves, whereas a regional order is built entirely around the courier and requires no visit. Second, file and dimension accuracy matters more: in Tbilisi an inaccuracy gets resolved on the spot, but for a regional order a correction restarts the whole chain — cutting, packaging and shipping — and adds several days. What file and information do I need to start an order?

Four things are enough. First, a vector file (DXF or AI), or a hand-drawn sketch with exact dimensions if you don't have one. Second, the material type and thickness — for example 3mm mild steel or 2mm stainless. Third, how many pieces you need, even if it is one. Fourth, the exact delivery address, without which we cannot fold the courier tariff into the price. For a house-number plate, a nameplate or a decorative panel, the text, the dimensions and optionally a logo or ornament sketch are enough to begin.
