Overview
Gold foil adds a metallic detail to a card through a finishing step that needs its own artwork and compatible stock. Decide whether the foil highlights the logo, name or a decorative element. The chosen foil shade and paper surface affect the appearance, so a screen mockup cannot replace a physical finish sample.
What to check before approval
- Provide a separate, clearly identified foil layer or artwork as requested.
- Check fine strokes, small text and spacing with the finishing provider.
- Confirm foil placement relative to printed elements and the trim edge.
