Fold plan, work scope and handover arrangements
Short answer
A trifold production brief connects the content, fold plan and handover plan. Avoid changing panel divisions casually after design approval: this can change the cover and inward-flap positions.
Trifold production starts with construction: one sheet, two folds and six panels. Separate printing supplied artwork from creating a new layout; include lamination or other finishing only where agreed for the project.

Selection and ordering details
Construction reference
Supply a fold diagram or reference photograph as well as a description. Identify the cover and which panel opens first.
Design or ready artwork
State whether text and photographs are final. Agree revision rounds and delivery of source files separately in the design scope.
Paper and folding together
Select stock and any coating with the fold in mind. Lamination is not automatically included in every trifold.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does production include everything?
Only the work listed in the quote. Check design, printing, folding, finishing, packing and delivery separately.
Should I send a file at the folded size?
Send your existing file with the dimensions. Production artwork needs both sides of the sheet and the panel plan; agree the export requirements with the template.
Is the inward flap always 99 mm wide?
No. Its width depends on stock and construction. Do not rely only on dividing A4 into three equal parts.
Does receiving a file give me every usage right?
Define final formats, editable source delivery and usage rights in the design agreement. Approval alone does not establish those terms.
